| The trouble is that when you pass by a blocks of flats flats flats flats..there seemingly is no charm or a feeling of belonging or local pride. Flats belong to THEM. See that barriered doorway. See those notices saying "Private Property" "Residents only". Walking down a normal Brentford street..we often admire the greenery, style of the front door etc..we feel part of it. It's part of us and our lives Topiary in Clifton, charming littlehomes in New Road etc. A lot of those people wrecking Btentdford could be described as INCOMERS / Incoming developers..just here for themselves..not for our heritage. They're here to make big dosh.. not to care about you. How nice of them to give us the Brentford Riverside walkway again. Trouble is we're intruding in front of their balconies. |
