Having seen banners hanging from lamp-posts all around Isleworth advertising 'Riverside Artisan Markets' backed by the ubiquitous 'Inspiring Isleworth'. I thought it was worth a punt with FOI to see if anyone at Hounslow could possibly explain who had paid for and erected these banners, given that getting any information about this mysterious group previously was akin to hacking into the Pentagon computer system. This is the latest missive received extremely late, the odd thing is that in spite of this load of old tripe the 'Inspiring Isleworth' logo is still appearing. And to think that this outfit has had £10,000 of public money for 'community events' since 2015. Re: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (FOI) 2000 ACT RESPONSE I am writing regarding your request for information dated 5 Aug 17. I am sorry that there has been a delay in responding to you. You have requested the following: Funding and organisation /banner advertising re Inspiring Isleworth The response from the Business Services and Investment team is that the Inspiring Isleworth group is no longer active and the relevant web address is http://inspiringisleworth.org.uk It is not known when the banner was put up in South Street Isleworth or if this was funded by Hounslow Council however it is believed that there had been an event in 2016 that the publicity may have related to. The response to your request has been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. |
