| Update: Banners carrying the logo of 'Inspiring Isleworth' have appeared in the local area advertising the Riverside Markets much beloved of the Church St. closure brigade, these appear to have been put up by Hounslow Council. So another FOI making some more enquiries has been submitted given the scarcity of anything useful from the last FOI. However, watching a programme about private parking companies scamming motorists last night something struck a chord. These companies just contact the DVLA who happily hand over individual's private details, so that got me wondering - why did Hounslow say they couldn't tell me under FOI who the people running 'Inspiring Isleworth' are or when they hold an Annual General Meeting, citing the Data Protection Act? Surely if the D.P. Act applies locally then wouldn't that same legislation apply to the DVLA's cavalier attitude to information too? |
