The thing is we would have to pay. However when you look into it often some of those councils charge less council tax than us. In one council in France the mayor visited the old people in council accomodation and asked them about life. A lot said vacumn cleaning was hard. Later each flat with residents of pension age (62) was given a lightweight cleaner. Its a different culture. The councils dont buy hotels by the sea or in the country and allow council taxpayers special assisted holidays. |
