Indeed! Contrition badly needed, I think though we may wait in vain. I think this from another correspondent to Cllrs. sort of hoists them on their own petard. "the area is just that an “open space” for the use of all residents. Also a “consultation”, albeit somewhat late in the day, was held to ascertain residents’ views on the future of the site, so it must surely be equitable that all who responded to that consultation should have the ability to be involved in all on-going discussions. Indeed I quote below Cllr Curran’s letter of 4th March (attached) which explicitly states that this was his intention:- “I have asked that local Councillors now work with you to shape the use of the site after October 2015, taking into consideration the pressures on our budgets, and would welcome your engagement in this process.” Will they go against the Dear Leader's views I wonder or was that just a sop to shut people up at the time? |
