I agree. This government praises free schools and academies for their "innovative", creative and child-centred curriculums, while imposing an increasingly narrow, restrictive, regressive and targets-driven curriculum on State Schools.  This area is crying out for school places at all levels but the Local Authority has been told that it cannot build new schools to meet this demand.  However, if someone with no educational background (e.g. Toby Young) decided to set up a Free School somehow the government would find the cash to support this.  Political hypocrisy at it's worst and I applaud Ms Cadbury for speaking out about it.
