It seems this might be true, I spoke to a car owner today who told me he lives in the new development and parks both his cars over the railway around the football ground and intends to continue doing so. Not only that but he operates three of the vans that are parked in the vicinity and was rather arrogant and adamant that he has every right to do so. Well, he is right, he can. But I hope that the councillors of this district sit up and take note that A, Barratts be bought to book about misleading claims the development not having a detrimental effect on it's surrounding environs and B. that no way does any other development proposals get approved without fully accomodating its resident and service vehicular requirements. As usual, Barratts and their ilk make money (all they are really interested in) by screwing its residents and offloading its failings onto other residents who in the end will end up paying too for a permit scheme. GWQ should not be in any permit zone and the landlords of whom 80% are buy to lets should provide the parking costs in the rent for their tenants. |
