| Is Brentford Library definitely going to be used as a Warm Space? If so, will that be in one of the Adult Education rooms which really do need to be better utilised? Re the lunch club - I have recently seen that there is something similar, although perhaps more ambitious, to what you are proposing at ETNA Community Centre in East Twickenham. Hot lunches are provided three days of the week. The food is prepared by volunteers using food supplied by supermarkets ?and others? Anybody from the community is welcome to use the facility and payment is on a 'pay as you feel/can' basis. There is also produce to take away for nothing or for a small donation. I realise that this is some distance away but if you wanted to talk to somebody about how things work then it may be useful to contact ETNA. I would say it is a lot of hard work to keep going. Just a thought - would you need insurance for such a venture? |
