Hello, I’m Anita Bhogal from Hounslow Council’s communications team. I have looked into the concerns about rats you have raised on this thread. The land around the court is private and belongs to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). As such, the council cannot take action on private land but our pest control team have been working with the MoJ to resolve the issue of rats and feeding. So far, private contractors have been appointed to treat the site and bring the infestation under control. This is already under way. The MoJ are also using CCTV surveillance to try to identify the mystery feeder who is leaving food which is obviously not helping to curb the rat population. Our pest control team will continue to work with the MoJ to eradicate the problem as soon as possible. I hope you find this information useful. Anita |
