| I did enquire as to the cost of moorings. Basically it is 'market value' just as the moorings are at adjacent sites and, whilst they gave lots of caveats about the market being imprecise, different sizes of mooring etc the answer seems to be around £200K capital which probably speaks to about £1000/ month rental. It also fits with the £5M I saw quoted (25 x £200K). They said the construction cost will be a lot less, hence some payback for the community, via the council. I did ask in the comments form for some clarity about how the finances are expected to work, at least in outline. All seems pretty sensible to me and I have no problem with the scheme. |
