| I know it's too late as Waterman's has been consigned to the demolishion brigade of"developers". I would have loved the Waterman's art centre to have been kept at this site and properly developed into an arts and information centre for Brentford, with the lovely "Glorianna" housed either opposite on Lots Ait, accessed by the footbridge, or placed next door to Waterman's itself. With the gardens and the refurbished riverside, it would have been a super destination site encompassing arts, films, stage, history, restaurant/cafe with the Musical Museum just opposite and the Steam Museum a bit further along the road. Instead we've got a great lump of concrete hat box flats to look forward to. |
