| Thanks for your comments Trudie...but Paul is really the daddy of local history. I'm just a flippant student! I've always recognised Trudie as being the one who originally suggested that "Gloriana" should come back to Brentford....being renovated as it was in Amalgamated Drive behind PC World...before going by road to Isleworth Dockin the middle of the night (just like that Concorde!). I believe the lady President of the local Chamber of Commerce has taken on the "official" endeavour. Remember also that Lot's Ait is in Syon Ward, Brentford, Middlesex...whist Brentford Ait is in two parts believe it or not and both are in Surrey. Maybe that will make no difference. Once there was a pub on Brentford Ait so local history tells us. So,(!) go go go from me. |
