"Catherine Wheel Road/Brent Way/ The Ham were traditionally the home of light industry (my uncle had a tannery there) and could be again given the will and considered investment by Hounslow." I'm afraid Nigel this is wishful thinking. There will never be enough light industry in the Greater London any more on any sort of scale sufficient to be a back bone for a town life. There is simply no business case for it. There may be some industry, but not much more than what we have now. I do understand that a lot of long time residents want to revive the town as it used to be when they were young, but now the time is different. The earlier people understand it, the better it will be for Brentford. |
