"The question needs to be asked - should the Communication Workers' Union make its continued funding of the Labour Party conditional upon that party declaring its unambiguous opposition to the proposed privatisation of the Royal Mail, in the light of the almost unanimous desire of the workforce for it to remain in "public" ownership? Serious question." It is also the desire of the majority of the British public that Royal Mail is NOT privatised, but Vincey boy has said it's 'irreversible' - sanctimonious, lying toe rag that he is. As a Trade Unionist I would be very inclined to side with the CWU. It is an issue that Labour will find difficult to defend as it was they who first floated this crackpot scheme, but they should now find their wedding tackle and put forward an alternative - what was in 'The Observer' looks far, far better to me, what is so wrong with having profitable services kept in the public sector?. |
