| Had you taken the trouble to read my post properly you would have seen I was referring to shops in the plural not florist in the singular, that just happened to be the one I went in to. There are quite a few small businesses along that part of Twickenham Road and in this financial climate they will suffer badly from the proximity of these roadworks. I don't know if compensation claims are entertained by Thames Water, I think in this case it's worth a thought at least. I have had to go to WMUH twice this week and have gone around the back doubles and out at Park Rd. And I assume for the time being ambulances might be allowed access at the rear, that would require some strategic planning by the management at the hospital so I wouldn't hold my breath. Even if this were not the case most drivers will move out of the way for an ambulance with blues and twos on if space allows. |
