| I'm not disagreeing with you George. I am pointing out two things - 1) people have individual responsibility for their own finances and should not expect others too look after them; 2) banks like RBS went (almost) bust through high risk speculative lending and investments and over-exposure, not from poor treatment of their private customers I would also note that the 'greed of bankers' was allowed by overly lax regulations and encouraged by a reward structure that encouraged this risk. Both will need to change if the risk taking is to be reduced. |
