| So you’d rather have a no-tax-and-no-spend policy, otherwise known as austerity? Better public services need paying for and many suggest preferably not from borrowing, so those who can well afford it should be pleased to contribute. My complaint about the present Labour Party is that they won’t be more up front about things. Tax and spend? Of course, for a more civilised country! Immigration? What’s wrong with welcoming people in distress and with the skills we need?! Nationalise public utilities? Of course, to stop profiteering on vital services? Etc…! |
