| I had a look this afternoon and (on my bike travelling eastwards) didn't notice a sudden change in the road direction, but what was obvious was the hatching marking protecting west-travelling drivers who want to turn right into the Musical Museum makes the eastbound carriageway too narrow. You have to drive over the hatch markings (or else if you avoid them to stay on your side of the road, you will crash into the low kerb of the cycle lane). I guess the current hatched markings are from the historic layout of the road but would agree that leaving them in place with the new kerbs is dangerous. |
