“ The time and date of your shop, together with the detail of what you purchased are not recorded if you use cash.”

Why do you say that? You can still request a full till receipt if you pay cash and it lists all the items you bought as well as the date and time!  It is a legal requirement for vendors to supply receipts if you want one.
