Well it is another part of a Berlin Wall being inflicted on locals who are not particularly mobile. GPs, Day centres and other key facilities are now cut off from a large part of their catchment area. In a short while the ULEZ will sever Acton and Gunnersbury and Chiswik where the remaining facilities and amenities are located. How does 40 letters from a street with off street parking, garages and open spaces at the back get listened to when 11,000 local people do not?. This road, built as a main link road, right down to its sewer and highway weight capability right from the start has not even got a CPZ. It has been bad of late but given that the LTNs were not overrun with mass commuter traffic but simply local traffic from one part of a district to another has been displaced, but morsel impossible to gauge with 4 years now of roadworks in the three main B roads. No decision ought to be even considered until all these major works are completed and a try picture of traffic levels can be ascertained. But stuffing up 11,000+ other local residents Hounslow or Ealing Boroughs just to suit 40 or so who have better than average space away from the road is yet again , either using them for an ends or plain stupid |
