I attended the event on 18th December together with Cllr Mel Collins. The other attendees apart from council officers and advisers comprised Cllr Hanif Khan, the lead member, a councillor from Chiswick, a couple of Chiswick residents who have been very vocal anti schemes on OneChiswick and elsewhere and 3 (I think) Brentford residents, only two of whom spoke. One of these spoke strongly in favour of the changes and the other was focused on the proposed scheme in Swyncombe Avenue (and not against it). The Swyncombe proposal has just gone out to formal consultation and will not be implemented until consultation has taken place, in line with the revised guidelines for 'new' schemes. We are looking to restrict Swyncombe because around 40 residents have written to me to ask for this. We have also had two well-attended public meetings (on Teams of course). I have had very little feedback on the changes in Whitestile and Challis roads, mostly favourable, and the only two feedbacks I have had about Green Dragon lane were from residents, one of whom said it was the best thing the council had ever done and the other that she had actually been in tears of joy when she heard about it. |
