| We're in danger of running off-topic Sam but I have some bad news for you. A budget submitted by one coalition partner (with 24 seats from a total of 60) without any prior communication whatsoever with the other coalition partner is not an "agreement". What it is, at best, is a display of unfathomable innumeracy. At worst, it is an act of grotesquely absurd (and in this instance quite unnecessary) macho posturing. Either way, considering we are dealing here with a £600m+ local authority budget and the consequences for local residents of getting it wrong, I see little evidence of the "grown up" behaviour of which you speak. |
