Maybe they just consulted you then Guy? Seriously though, speaking personally I couldn't tell you whether the lamp post outside my flat is blue, black or luminous pink - and I've lived here for 17 years.  I really am that unobservant, and disinterested in such things.  But I still marvel at the arrogance of those who presume to make these decisions for us in that sanctimonious spirit of "we know best" that we've all come to know and love down the years.
