I'm just as interested to know what the plans are for the £250k that was set aside in the 2010 council budget specifically for the repairs to the roof of this property.

According to elected members there has been no decision taken at member level to reallocate these funds elsewhere.  But one would assume they do not intend to perform the repairs before demolishing the building.

Even at the time when this £250k was being allocated senior officers were strangely reluctant to have its specific purpose entered into the minutes of the budget meeting.  It doesn't take a genius now to work out why.

The question is, is the present Cabinet going to quietly go along with this, or are questions going to be asked in the light of the massive hostile local reaction to these proposals?
