My email to Everest of last week still remains unanswered!!! Dear Micky "Further to our telecon of 1 November as promised please find attached photos of the 'completed' double glazing. As advised I did not realise that 'making good' would result in Everest hacking away at my window frame and leaving it in such a mess. I assumed that for a job costing GBP 1654 I could reasonably expect to have to touch up some paintwork but did not expect to have to sand and fill the gouges made by Everest staff. I also mentioned the secondary glazing in the bedrooms. When Everest came to evaluate the work that needed to be done, they advised us that replacing the window sills would not be necessary even though we agreed to pay. Whilst the one bedroom was sorted out perfectly, the plasterboard on the window sill was removed leaving quite a mess. My wife advised your supervisor that it was Ok as we would replace the sill ourselves, only to be told that it would not be possible because we wouldn't be able to fill a sill now that the secondary glazing was in place. I would have thought he would tell us before fitting the secondary glazing that it would not be possible to fit a sill. Your comments would be appreciated" |
