In the very old days the Isleworth Depot was a tram Depot...and when trams were discontined it is said that some were buried in pits on Greenhams Fields (now called Thornbury PF?). After the trolleybuses, one recalls the Post Office vans moving in. In the mid 90's the first of the storage companies moved in. Acorn Storage Company was No.1 followed by Access Storage. Very useful facilities they were too for small businesses.(and nice little earners for the speculative owners). Regarding the 65 bus.. isn't it's frequency becoming erratic these days... causing crowding issues at times.. and worse still not allowing people to board when they have already waited 25 minutes and more. Anyway.. once on board..it does go to nice places. Ham Common Village anyone? |
