Memories indeed. One has hardly settled in one's seat before the attractive (agreed?) colours of the Express Pub can be seen...and then the wonderful view of Strand on the Green (went to School there), the Thames and Oliver Island. Before long..one passes the World Heritage site, Kew Gardens where some 50,000 plants are on display. I keep meaning to visit St Ann's Church one day, especially when teas are being served. Ah that's where Pissarro's Wine Bar used to be...and Jaspers Bun in the Oven Restaurant. My brother worked over 30 years at Newan's Tea Room part making those Maid of Honour cakes with their secret recipe. What a route? And we haven't arrived in Richmond yet! |
