The 65 bus still works hard all day passing delightful sites (and sights). The bus stop on Kew Bridge itself giving one a chance to look up and down stream. What's happened to the tallest flagpole in the World that used to be visable? Must have been chopped down. Many houses on the west side of Ealing Road had their metal railings chopped down during WW2 for urgent recycling by the armament industries. The railings in Ealing Road today...in front of houses with basements..remain. The 65 bus remains too but currently has an erratic timetable...and often few seats available when I get on board. No complaints..it's a great route. |
