| The contributions to this topic seem so old fashioned and car centric. Loads of people don't even have a car. We use all modes of transport: walking, cycling, bus, train, tube and car, even the occasional flight, and prefer anything to the car when staying within London. Combustion engines are big contributors towards the high levels of pollution which are causing many extra deaths each year and consistently exceed legal limits. We need to limit local car journeys as well as legislate for cleaner vehicles. |
