Did anyone ask for this city and district to be selected for overdensification and over population? No. Parking on pavements is authorised in places. Where it is not it is illegal But have motor vehicles paid for ever part of the road they occupy and the occupants pay to be a bee to make a living in this highly competitive society? Yes. In taxes on every aspect of using a motor vehicle. Tax in insurance, tax on fuel, tax on parking, tax on road use, Plus congestion Charges, Ulez charges, Tolls just to cite a few. And what do Cyclists who don't need a car for their living pay towards? And who says it's OK to cycle on the pavement? Or through traffic lights or Zebra crossings? Or block bus lanes and not yield to buses? Or leave cycles laying on pavements causing dangerous obstructions ? Cyclists can cycle with diligence just as motorists can and do. But it's more than apparent, especially as a Cyclist, that far too many have no diligence whatsoever. Who gets fined heavily and penalised if they don't? Not Cyclists. |
