When we have queried masts in the past we have been informed that the local authority essentially has no power to do anything about them - it's classed as permitted development and provided the developer dots its i's and crosses its t's it is automatically approved as a matter of law. I have specifically queried the current proposal with the planning officer today as it's unusually intrusive, though to be fair it's next to the Piccadilly line and would affect only a few houses in Boston Gardens I think. The very fact that it has been allocated a PA reference number implies that it's a matter of Prior Approval and that we therefore have no influence, but I wanted to test it. Adam may know better. |
