Now that the by-election is over, we can get back to the more mundane issues around our local area. Has anyone noticed the piles of refuse sacks being dumped on street corners, bus stops and other spare ground, from Busch Corner to Isleworth? A number of bags are a distinctive lilac colour, while others are green Hounslow Highway sacks. Are these piles being left out deliberately for refuse collectors or are they being fly-tipped? They look unsightly and because they appear to contain domestic rubbish, must be a health hazard. If it is the work of fly-tippers, how can they be stopped? Is anyone on the case? |
