| Sent an email to Mary Macleod about whether she is backing council plans to put the Floreat School on the BL Rec. By return had email asking me in for a meeting which was this morning. She wanted the school to go on the Commerce Road site which Floreat were delighted with. She is for the school but not for building it on our rec and the school don't really mind where they go. She is going to look into the fact that it is a Public space and would need to be replaced if building was approved. She will also set up a meeting at the end of May/ early June, for all of us to confront the appropriate councillors to state our case. The actual in house council meeting to discuss the application is on the 2nd July. Obviously this can only happen if she is re-elected. It was a great meeting and Mary is absolutely on the case. |
