| Where will the encroachment on Hounslow's green and open spaces stop? I raised this question with one of Syon Ward's Labour Councillors recently, in relation to the Council's attempts to woo Grasshoppers RFC from its existing site to a much smaller location, shared with a Free School. His response? We don't live in rural Hertfordshire and people need houses and schools! He didn't really have an answer to the revelation that half of the Grasshoppers' site has been ear-marked for SKY! Nor could he justify why few of the new housing developments in the Brentford area provides any open or green space for residents. So where will it stop? I think we can expect a whole lorra concrete across our Borough very soon! Would this happen in Richmond or even Ealing? Not likely. |
