| That Lucozade sign is not the one that used to adorn the building where the Audi showroom now stands. The original sign was a 3 phase neon animation and was mounted on yellow ceramic tiles on the building. The font differs as well. A later version was installed in the late 1970s and the version now in situ is similar to this. Neither though, have the vibrance of the original. A rather good shot of the original showed up on TV before Christmas as part of the Rank "look at Life' series and I think I saw a BTC film which shows it as well as the M4 flyover being built and Carville Hall park being divided. |
