| I wonder how many readers once swam there...or even visited the place for a hot bath because they didn't have a tub at home! As 10 year old schoolchildren attending Strand on the Green School, some 20 of us at a time used to be herded onto the 655 trolleybus at Stilehall Gardens (near Kew Station) and taken to Brentford Baths for the anxious experience of being taught to swim! One recalls seeing teams playing water polo there. The current state of the interior of the Baths is often mentioned in conversations..and at last some pictures are available ..taken 9 months ago!
