Good to hear you all have memories of these Baths..and perhaps the distinctive smell of the place! Actually I was scare stiff at the thought of swim lessons there..and was most anxious until I managed to paddle around..but not quite as bad as going to the dentists with all that laughing gas!
It's a shame that the Peter Rutt (Brentford) website has closed down as he used to communicate with lots of people about their Brentford memories..and he had many pictures in his collections. I believe one of his relations still lives on the Haverfield Estate..indeed I met her once outside the Baths..as I was taking some pictures some 4 years ago. I have her phone number somewhere in my Brentford files...I mean box-files!
