Brentford is great although the high st is not! Several friends have moved to Brentford at my suggestion and are really happy here. There are some nice restaurants and there are the river and canal for walks....a couple of good primary schools, too. Secondary school a bit more of a struggle especially if you're after a mixed secular education. Gnerally though a very nice friendly place and I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else in London.
