I've had an uodate from TfL: "Unfortunately, late last year route 235’s reliability had been impacted by a number of  factors. These include multiple roadworks, temporary traffic signals on Staines Road, and further delays to Feltham caused by roadworks and temporary traffic lights on Feltham High Street. There were also delays caused by temporary traffic lights towards Sunbury at Green Lane. As a result, the service has seen delays of up to 40 minutes, which has adversely impacted journey times. To address this, from Saturday 4 January 2025 a revised schedule and changeover was introduced to address these issues. The operator is confident this will make their service control strategies more efficient as well as combatting some of the effects of traffic congestion. In addition, to further improve reliability on route 235, from Saturday 1 March 2025 until January 2027 (that is, when the current contract expires), a new schedule with an additional bus during the AM and PM peaks is planned to be introduced as well as further improvements throughout the weekend service."
