| Not as dumb as you think - perfectly fine to access Whitestile via Darwin unless you are planning to come back down Whitestile to rejoin Windmill. I agree the previous lights on Windmill were infuriating, and I pointed it out to the traffic people a week ago. It seemed to me (and from what I was told) it seemed simply to provide the van - related to SSE and to do with relaying electric lines on the footpath - with somewhere handy to park, which is completely unacceptable. Good job the LTN is in place as everybody would turn into Enfield and try to get out of Grove, Eastbourne and Avenue as they did for the previous (at least) 10 years every morning making the congestion in that area (including Windmill where the people staying on it had to fight it out at the junctions) far worse than it is now (except when there are pointless - or sometimes necessary - temporary traffic lights). |
