| Can I say that I don't necessarily hang on ever word of Guy's musings, but at least they give an insight of his work on the council. And having a high level of cynicism I certainly don't buy into this 'my party, right or wrong' mentality that seems to be prevalent. If people cannot admit what they get wrong - then how on earth do you get it put right? Even some of the stuff that appears at the local Forums around the borough owes much to wishful thinking rather than reality. Mulling things over with a close friend recently, both of us having a long history of Labour politics and support, we wonder what has happened, to the degree we felt as if there is no political party that represents us any more. What a state of affairs to have. |
