| It's rather ironic that the people who come off worst are Bus users. It has now become far slower, but more to the point extremely hazardous. Even waiting for the bus now comes with real danger. Try standing in those stupid islands with young children or a disabled person or simply in the rain. It has deterred a lot of people from using the buses and many now walk to other stops to avoid their use. Hugely inconvenient for those who struggle to manage for whatever reasons. And still, with all this in place, cyclists and E scooterists still use the pavements or the main road and ride way too fast with no lights or due care. Where is the enforcement? Anyone, from whoever designed or conceived these, to those who approved their implementation ought to be held culpable should a fatality or injury occur. It's a ticking time bomb. |
