| Every time during the last 10 years that the Council has considered planning permission for flats, it should have required developers to donate a stretch of land for use as cycle lane. If Hounslow Council wishes to extend cycle lanes this "donation" should be an additional requirement on submission of planning requests from developers. As for Brentford High Street, it has been clogged up since the start of C20th at least and squeezing additional lanes into an already too narrow main road is simply going to make matters worse for all users. |
