Sadly, the planning guidelines put in place when John Prescott was Deputy Prime Minister make it very difficult for local authorities to object to mast installations. Although those guidelines have been radically altered the relaxed protocols precedent was set when Labour tried to squeeze as much money as possible out of the mobile companies.
