| Some very interesting albeit rather technical stuff emerging on how Boeing are developing super lightweight extended 777 aircraft and how the sums don't add up. They comparison over weight to fuel use and efficiency achievable is using a mid range Tesla. For it to be anywhere near economical it has to do a very high annual mileage to be cost effective as well as energy efficient. Most electric vehicles are not really being used in this way and are never going to cover their additional purchase costs. All the pointers are for Hydrogen road vehicles, but most certainly not for aviation. |
