| TfL had Hydrogen Buses running on the South Bank /Covent Garden RV1 route over a dozen years ago using Mercedes Citaros a a base design. The Bendy bus without the bendy bit on the back. The ran very well but required a higher skill technician / Engineering team to support which was not so affordable and better garaging facilities which TfL have been selling off in favour of outdoor less permanent facilities which are largely unsuitable conditions for higher technology or the people who maintain it. |
