Keith Thanks for this. My concern is that, in the worst of the scenarios that I have mentioned, our local authority is not adequately configured to respond to enquiries which could, at worst, be life or death matters. Under the circumstances I am almost hoping that the lack of response was down to petulance and ongoing political pettiness arising from ancient quarrels. You think I would get a better deal from the MP? Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't. But I shouldn't have to. Where the care of the vulnerable is concerned time can be of the essence, so going directly to the care provider would strike me as being the obvious route. As fate would have it both issues would now seem to have been resolved - for now at least. But I would suggest that anyone who finds this situation amusing or cause for smugness (and they'll know who they are) is part of the problem. |
