| To the best of my knowledge there are 3 schools in Brentford that are north of the A4 and I don't think any of them have 20mph speed limits on their roads. But that isn't what I'm asking about or indeed why I'm asking. I'm also not debating the merits or otherwise of 20mph speed limits. My question is why is there a sign on Windmill Road showing that the 20mph zone finishes and a 40mph limit applies? I'm sure it's there to inform drivers that they can do 40 on the A4, but unfortunately because there is no other sign, it also informs them that they can do 40 north of the A4 on Windmill Road. |
