| The Council policy is to introduce a 20 mph limit on all residential roads as and when roads are upgraded/ resurfaced. All roads outside schools should already have that speed limit and in many cases other traffic calming measures. There are quite simply not enough enforcement officers to ensure that the speed limit on all streets is applied seven days a week twenty four hours a day. It may not be a popular thing to say but scarce enforcement resources should only be deployed where there is actually a problem. |
