I have moved this over from the other thread. " I wonder if somebody could take us back to the beginning before the present houseboats arrived ...well there are a couple of statements saying they weren't there a number of years ago. How does somebody 'win' a mooring on a permanent basis? Is it like land where it can be claimed after a number of years, 12, is it? Are the rules of the river such that you have to move on after a month or so? In which case should the arguement be that the land should be freed up for all moving boat owners? Can anyone explain? Cheers Sarah x " I wonder, if this bank of the river forms a part of the free moving access for boat owners, do you have the right to moor up and stop others from using it in this way, and does LBH have the right to build on it and stop free movement? By you living there for 10 years have you stopped the river bank from being a free movement area and therefore allowed LBH to build against it? How do the river laws work, if there is a simple answer ... Just interested ... :) |
